MKS Announces Release of 10 HZ MultiGas™ FTIR Gas Analyzer

Fast sampling speed for rapid transient gas vehicle emissions monitoring

Andover, Mass., November 15, 2022 -- MKS Instruments, Inc. (NASDAQ: MKSI), a global provider of technologies that enable advanced processes and improve productivity, today announced the release of its newest MultiGas™ FTIR Gas Analyzer, Model 2030 10 Hz, for light and heavy-duty vehicle emissions monitoring.

The 10 Hz gas analyzer is built upon MKS’ industry proven 2030 FTIR platform and provides expanded scanning capability at 10 Hz with 0.5cm-1 resolution resulting in even finer detail of transient gas monitoring. The 10Hz MultiGas FTIR Gas Analyzer is designed with a 70 cc, 5.11 m gas cell resulting in fast response time and very low detection limits at low flow rates. MKS’ FTIR Gas Analyzers are used worldwide for R&D development and certification test labs for light-duty (LD) and heavy-duty (HD) vehicles and engines as well as catalyst manufacturers. “The 10 Hz FTIR gas analyzer provides vehicle and catalyst manufacturers with a fast and highly sensitive gas analyzer ensuring they meet stringent global emissions standards”, said Tony Owen, Vice President and General Manager of Controls, Plasma and Reactive Gas.
