Achieving Measurable Quality

In the manufacturing of Residual Gas Analyzers (RGAs), precision is essential. These analyzers demand highly accurate assemblies, making the definition of critical dimensions and consistent measurement practices fundamental to producing quality components.

Previously, verification of parts and assemblies relied heavily on the expertise and subjective perception of individual technicians.

Recognizing this opportunity for improvement, I initiated a project to bring structure and objectivity to the process. After several iterations and thorough analysis of outcomes, I was able to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to pave the way for automated imaging and measurement systems.

Today, these systems verify assemblies with high accuracy and provide data that distinguishes good builds from faulty ones - advancing our quality control toward a stronger, data-driven and fully measurable approach.
