Waterloo is just one valuable piece of the larger Canadian Technology Triangle (CTT) area! The CTT encompasses Kitchener-Waterloo (K-W), Cambridge, Guelph and the surrounding area. Its central Ontario location offers easy access to the major centers in Eastern North America. Toronto is less than 1 hour away and the US border is just 2 hours away!

Kitchener-Waterloo

The "twin cities" of Kitchener-Waterloo offer the best of both worlds: a dynamic economic region and a special place to live. Each of these cities has their own character. Both are modern, vigorous business communities steeped in history and surrounded by natural green farmlands. Two of Canada's top universities, an excellent community college and extensive research facilities, including the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, IQC - Institute for Quantum Computing, and CIGI - The Centre for International Governance Innovation are in the area. Superior arts and entertainment events, combined with the natural beauty and fascinating history of Kitchener-Waterloo, make this a very attractive region.

Kitchener-Waterloo has a combined population of 274,000. Each city is home to many diverse companies which recognize the benefits of being close to universities, suppliers, service industries and an expansive customer base. Kitchener-Waterloo has a highly skilled work force and unemployment rates are among the lowest in Canada!

Housing

A wide range of living accommodations is available for both rental and ownership. A luxury, 2-bedroom condominium is priced from $150,000 to $250,000 CDN. Detached 3-bedroom homes, with one car garage, range from $190,000 to $270,000 CDN. Executive homes, with 4 bedrooms, family room and fireplace sell from $280,000 CDN. Rental rates for apartments range from $525/month CDN for a bachelor apartment to $1400/month CDN for a 3-4-bedroom unit.

Kitchener-Waterloo is rich with cultural and recreational activities. Broadway musicals, ballet and opera companies perform at The Centre in the Square.
